On a bright summer day, a group of talented suppliers gathered together at Harts’ Hotel in Nottingham for to create a colourful wedding themed photoshoot.
The flavour of the day was ‘Colour Splash’. It was literally what is said on the tin. Beautiful wedding dresses from Wendy Makin and Watters accented with colourful flowers in bright hues of orange and pink. The lush garden overlooking Nottingham brought to life with giant balloons with colourful tassels and hanging flower vases. A gold cake stand holding the most amazing pink drip cake you will have ever seen. The list goes on and on …..
Towards the end of preparations, the colourful flowers matched our stunning model Amy’s skin tone perfectly. As the mother of the bride looked on, we were nearly ready. Amy wore a gorgeous white A-line dress called Judith from Watters. A strapless floor length dress with floral embellishments.
Then we were all set up for the wedding breakfast. The cake continued the theme, with bold pink drips and matching flowers. There were matching gold leaves to add to the luxurious look. It was totally yummy too!
Our bride and groom looked perfect outside the hotel. Especially with the modern round windows which are symbolic of the hotels entrance. Amy wore Pippa from Wendy Makin’s French Collection. She looked stunning with a beautiful bouquet accented with orange and pink (the perfect colourful wedding inspiration).
We then stepped just outside the hotel and restaurant onto the Park Steps. A staircase with lamp post resembling a Victorian gas street light. Together with a perfect blue sky, it provided the stunning back drop.
My favourite part of this blog was getting to go out into the Harts private garden on a beautiful summers day. I confess I really love these giant balloons. They stand out from the crowd and can match practically any colour scheme. You can use them to line an aisle, table centre pieces, have pictures taken with them ….. there are plenty of options! You could even upgrade to confetti filled balloons or bespoke tassels with laser cut figures!
We also rigged up hanging flower vases continuing the theme of strong colours accenting each shot.
Then onto the entertainment – five pound notes destroyed by fire (or not!) and matching playing cards found behind wine bottle labels. All a mystery to us! A first dance with matching pink uplighters for our gorgeous couple.
