We LOVE outdoor wedding venues here at TBWC HQ. In fact, we’d like to say it’s one of our specialities and we’ve been voted the Best Outdoor Wedding Planner in the UK for the last three years so it’s definitely our bag.
So it seemed natural for us to pull together some of the favourites we’ve worked with. If you are planning an outdoor wedding in the East Midlands this one is for you! From field wedding venues, to tipi (or teepee) venues, to working farms, barns and stretch tent / marquees, there is something for everyone.
We have LOADS of LOVE for Castle View Farm and Stables which was the venue for B&N’s wedding day. Based near Market Harborough, Leicester, the team here will see to your every need with a barn / outdoor / combo which is perfect for the modern, flexible wedding. The wedding we held here had a fire eater as well as live saxophone and photobooth.
A new venue we discovered in 2023! You can hire the land at the picturesque Rutland Water Nature Reserve for your marquee wedding!
And even better you can get married in the nearby Normanton Church and even take your guests by boat across the water to the ceremony. We can’t wait to bring you more about this amazing marquee wedding venue so watch this space!
The Hall Barns is an epic rural wedding venue in Loughborough, renovated in 2021, ready to welcome the rule-breakers, rustic lovers and partygoers. You get all he benefits of an outdoor country wedding venue as well as an amazing indoor area for your wedding breakfast.
They have a pretty cracking location for civil ceremonies, wedding breakfasts and receptions, with room for up to 100 wedding guests or 150 dancing queens. Perfect for outdoor wedding ceremonies, glamping and festival weddings. We LOVE the outdoor ceremony area which transforms into your evening party zone, the toilets (yes do go and visit them) and the cosy gin bar! As well as onsite accommodation they offer glamping too.
The venue for M&R’s wedding (see more here), and it’s always a pleasure to work with the fab team from Sami Tipi on the Cuttle Brook site. It’s such a gorgeous Derbyshire wedding venue right next to the river – the perfect location for an outdoor wedding ceremony. Just make sure you have a wet weather plan with plenty of indoor space just in case the english weather doesn’t play ball!
We had the pleasure of visiting Cattows Farm Weddings in Leicestershire this Spring as part of the Sami Tipi Spring showcase. It is a stunning countryside wedding venue which allows you full flexibility to have the marquee or tipi of your choosing. This Leicester wedding venue is also in a great central location with easy access across the East Midlands.
Further afield, over the border in Warwickshire, we couldn’t miss out the stunning Fillongley Hall. This privately owned, Grade 2 listed country house has opened its grounds to marquee and tipi weddins. Exclusive use for the whole weekend, outdoor wedding ceremonies, accomodation on site, glamping options and more! Smaller weddings ceremonies can be held in the House.
