As an outdoor wedding specialist, I was inspired by the woodland area at the Overgrown Acres tipi wedding venue near Nottingham. I’d always wanted to do a shoot with bold & rich colours and a sense of opulence, so I had a blast creating this woodland wedding! The focus of the industry is currently on micro weddings with COVID restrictions and I wanted to show that having smaller numbers on your wedding day means that you could really go to town on the details. Don’t hold back. The dark & bold colours work really well with the greenery & woodland setting. I loved the little touches of the woodland animals. And we added gold details for that touch of luxury in the hair vines and tablescapes.

Fran from Limewood Flowers is an Eco Florist specialising in locally grown flowers with a low carbon footprint and her organic and natural style was the perfect match – as if the flowers had sprung from the countryside themselves. The detail and deep colours of summer dahlias were paired with Fairtrade scented roses, natural foliage, and smaller white pompom dahlias. The bouquet was in a contemporary and loose style matched with hand-dyed silk ribbons from Bertie & Fred.
