I have another gorgeous wedding shoot to share from Fillongley Hall. This elegant marquee wedding combines ‘relaxed’ and ‘luxury’, featuring a beautiful marquee, a warm, neutral colour scheme and sophisticated finishing touches.
Outdoor weddings are becoming more and more popular, because of the freedom they provide and the number of options available for every syle.
I had fun planning this one, so I hope you enjoy it!
This elegant marquee wedding inspiration shoot took place in the grounds of Fillongley Hall, Warwickshire. It’s the venue’s tranquil surroundings that inspired the palette and styling for this shoot. We built the colour scheme with warm, neutral tones – pale pinks and light oranges with a rich, deep brown adding depth.
We staged a minimal and relaxed outdoor wedding ceremony with rustic, wooden chairs and simple flower decoration against the backdrop of lush trees.
For the outdoor wedding reception, we chose a sailcloth tent for the simple and sophisticated feel. The great thing about these marquees is that they have clear sides that can be rolled up, so you have a view of your surroundings.
It was styled with simple string lights, tall candles and a flower cloud hanging from the ceiling. A little luxury was added through touches of gold in the tableware, vintage glassware and black plates adding drama.
To really create a ‘laidback luxury’ atmosphere, we also created a chill-out area, with velvet sofas and vintage inspired props. This is a great idea to have a beautiful, quiet place for your guests to relax.
An outdoor wedding doesn’t necessarily mean ‘bohemian’! This lovely bride has added glamour to her wedding look with a statement gold headband and sparkling embellishments on her straps and waist. This A-line wedding dress is classic, simple and sophisticated – Perfect for a marquee wedding!
This elegant marquee wedding is a stunning example of ‘less is more’ and how outdoor weddings can still feel luxurious and sophisticated.
